We get to Vanessa’s and go into her house. I gasp immediately at the sight of her face, my stomach sinking.

It’s in bad shape. Her lip is busted and bleeding. Her cheekbone is split, along with her eyebrow, and the rest of her is bruised and covered in blood. Tyler is sitting beside her, holding her, but her face is pointed in my direction. He looks at us, pissed off beyond belief. I don’t blame him. My blood is boiling. I take out my phone and call Shaylin because if you’re in the mood to beat some ass she is the one to call.

“Hello?”

“Vanessa’s dad came to visit her, and he beat her up, want to go beat some ass?” I smile at the sound of her running through the house.

“Fuck yeah, I am getting the girls together. Meet you at the club in an hour.” She hangs up. Vanessa is staring at me in utter shock.

I sit down beside her, taking her hand. Her nails are torn from hitting him back. The fucker has always liked to beat up on his kids, and it is time for him to learn his lesson.

I look at Tyler. “You will get your turn once I have my fun. Vanessa needs to go to the hospital. He will be at the club waiting on you.”

He smiles. Liam presses his hand on my shoulder, and I look up to see him grinning at me evilly. It’s time for some fun. We girls let the men handle a lot of shit, but when it’s personal, we band together and give back tenfold.

Vanessa has tears running down her face.

“Why don’t you come stay with me and Liam for a while?”

She shakes her head and looks at Tyler.

“She is staying with me from now fucking on.” His voice is deep with anger.

Vanessa pushes her hair out of her face, her hands shaking badly. “He wanted money and I didn’t have any cash on me,” she whispers, looking down at the rug.

Tyler grinds his jaws together, his head turned away from her so she doesn’t see. I hate her father. He is a mean fucker who has done nothing but make her life a living hell. “He will never bother you again, we will make sure of it.”

She smiles at me weakly. She is the most humble and sweetest person I have ever met. She is the kind of person who would take off her shoes and give them to a homeless person. I have seen it with my own eyes. To see this happen to her is heartbreaking.

I get off the couch, bend down, and hug her gently. “I will get your revenge,” I whisper in her ear and she nods, squeezing my hand. Liam intertwines his fingers with mine, and we walk out to the truck and Liam helps me inside. I look through the window of Vanessa’s house to see her crying into Tyler’s chest. It breaks my heart all over again.

Liam gets in the truck and looks through the window with me.
